I'm sorry if this qualifies as 'technical support', but I've tried to contact YoYo Games directly to no avail. If a mod wants to delete this thread and give me a phone number to call or something that would be fine too.

Anyway -- I downloaded Gamemaker Studio: Professional through a Steam gift for my personal laptop. I left to do some volunteer service work, so I had to leave my old laptop behind and was given a federal government-issued laptop as a replacement.

I want to download a free Gamemaker version, preferably 1.4 because that's what I'm most familiar with, so I can practice my programming skills during my year of volunteering. But I've read that they are not giving away licence keys anymore for older versions.

I don't know how I managed to download Gamemaker onto this computer, but it won't let me download it again, and Studio2 is being blocked too (requiring an admin). Steam's website is also being blocked on my government laptop, so I can't connect the accounts. I have a personal iPhone4 I can use if anyone has any suggestions involving that.

I just want to make games again! Can anyone help me out?
